Lost lesbian spaces and The Lesbian Club

We have seen the closure of most protected spaces for lesbians to meet, socialise and experience a sense of community and connection.  Over the past 30 years we have been pushed back from public spaces and can now only meet in private and this has set us back to where we were in the 1950’s. Because we have no public single-sex spaces, lesbians are now forced to have a private club where they can meet.

Lesbians are welcome to join The Lesbian Club will be notified of lesbian events as part of their membership.  Currently there is a Victorian focus but women from around Australia are welcome to join and we aim on building events across Australia.
